Buy Maryland Cybersecurity Tax Credit
Guardianshield Cybersecurity, LLC is a Qualified Maryland Cybersecurity Seller. Eligible Maryland small businesses that buy our cybersecurity services and eligible cybersecurity technology may qualify for a 50% Maryland income tax credit.
How the Credit Works
Maryland's Buy Maryland Cybersecurity (BMC) Tax Credit, administered by the Maryland Department of Commerce under Tax-General Article §10-733.1, lets a Qualified Maryland Company claim a credit for 50% of the net purchase price of cybersecurity technology and services bought from a Qualified Maryland Cybersecurity Seller.
50% credit
Calculated on the net purchase price, after taxes and fees are subtracted.
Up to $50,000 per year
The maximum credit per buyer per tax year, equal to $100,000 in eligible purchases.
Same tax year
The credit is claimed for the tax year in which the purchase was made. For installment contracts, payments made in that year count.
